Updated SC Payer Scorecard

The SC Telehealth Alliance recently updated its SC Telehealth Payer Scorecard, providing an overview of how the largest payers in South Carolina align with SCTA’s payer priorities. Key updates include:

• The scorecard key has been updated to reflect the extended Medicare telehealth flexibilities through December 31, 2027. The Medicare column now reflects full alignment in these areas.
• SC Medicaid and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina have made updates related to provider types. SC Medicaid has refined the types of services that PT, OT, and ST providers may deliver via telehealth, and BCBS has updated its list of eligible telehealth providers to reflect current policy considerations.
• UnitedHealthcare’s virtual care medical policy remains consistent with its prior approach and continues to show strong alignment with CMS guidelines.
